Humboldt County Library Receives PR Excellence Award from California Library Association for 2016 Harry Potter Celebration

This is a press release from the Humboldt County Library:

Samantha Mena, Library Assistant at the Eureka Main Library, recently attended the California Library Association Conference in Riverside to receive a PR Excellence award on behalf of the Humboldt County Library. About 15 library employees and 35 volunteers planned and presented an event in the Eureka Library last October, welcoming over 1,200 participants to celebrate the Harry Potter books with crafts, games, and other activities. The program committee designed a variety of promotional materials and activities for the event, which secured the honor of the PR Excellence Award.
