[UPDATE 7:30 p.m.] Burglary Suspect Escapes Search

At approximately 5:53 p.m., Fortuna Police received a report of a burglary in progress in the 3500 block of Renner Drive not far from the hospital. They set up a perimeter and brought in K-9 Nordy to look for the suspect. The K-9 was unable to locate anyone and the search has been called off.
