1/4 Pound of Meth Located During Search

This is a press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

TrujilloOn October 28th, 2017, at around 1:00 A.M. Special Agents with the Humboldt County Drug Task Force spotted a vehicle traveling northbound on Hwy 101 near Stafford. Agents recognized the vehicle as belonging to 25 year old Jose Trujillo. Special Agents had been granted a search warrant for Trujillo, his vehicle and a hotel room he rented in the city of Fortuna.

With the assistance of a Humboldt County Sheriff’s Deputy a traffic enforcement stop was conducted on Trujillo and his vehicle. Also located in the vehicle at the time of the stop was 37 year old Ricardo Avalos. Both men were detained and searched pursuant to the search warrant. A Humboldt County District Attorney Investigator and his narcotics detection K-9 assisted in searching the vehicle which yielded approximately ¼ pound of suspected methamphetamine.

Both Trujillo and Avalos were placed under arrest for transportation of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for sale.

Special Agents responded to Trujillo’s motel room which was located in the 500 block of South Fortuna Blvd. in Fortuna and conducted a search. No additional narcotics were located, however they did locate a digital scale, packaging materials, and other items associated with the sales of narcotics.

While being transported to the jail, Avalos suffered a medical emergency and was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital where he was cited and released to hospital staff. Trujillo was transported to the jail where he was booked and housed for the above listed charges.

Anyone with information related to this investigation or other narcotics related crimes are encouraged to call the Humboldt County Drug Task Force at 707-444-8095 or the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line at 707-268-2539.

The suppliers are everywhere, meth labs all over the county, they dont want to deal with those!
Remember when that chp officer andersons sister got caught making it in her bathtub??? He’s probably still forced to work the truck scales rather than patrol. Classic!
Anyone who thinks the cops arent on the take here is not paying attention.

I remember Dave Anderson, lived up fruitland Ridge, He was hard working and clean cut. I remember when he was given a reward for most DUI tickets written in state of California by the women of M.A.D.D. He did push the limits of good police work. and I imagine his sister needed a tester for her bathtub product. Best keep it in house.

So, yeah. That’s what I’m wondering. The “sick” guy gets a ticket and a check-up while his partner goes to lock-up?

The guy’s mugshot looks familiar like he’s been in the paper before for drugs well at least the DTF getting a little bit better quarter pound instead of a quarter ounce . You should make him do his time then send them back to Mexico we damn well know he’s not a legal citizen,or his partner .

I’m seeing a trend with Mexicans and large amounts of meth. Is it safe to say the Mexicans are doing the manufacturing? Are they manufacturing in the state? Why are there never any meth manufacturing busts?

I wish I could meet up with Anderson now so I can tell him what a dick is. He was a crooked cop.
