About 8:45 p.m. on Saturday, an altercation on the Eureka waterfront near the Adorni Center resulted in one man stabbed, a woman injured, and another man arrested for attempted murder.

A Eureka Police officer held the suspect Grant Warner Anderson was held the  at gunpoint at the scene. The suspect was arrested and booked for attempted murder, vandalism, and resisting arrest.

Both victims were taken to the hospital and both are expected to survive, according to a witness.

[Note: an earlier story inadvertently was missing some words and it made it seem as if the EPD officer was held at gunpoint.]

A little confused, a EPD officer was held at gunpoint by another EPD officer and then was arrested ?

This can’t be right. Cops don’t get arrested for their crimes.

Why is this so awkwardly written? I’m confused.
If a Eurekaa cop was arrested for attempted murder how come the headline doesn’t say so?
That’s a super big deal.

A man was stabbed and a woman was injured…by a Eureka police officer?
A fellow officer arrested him at gun point…and this isn’t making headlines all over the County?

Seems, suspiciously like bulls***
