About 11:10 p.m., a vehicle struck two utility poles on Myrtle Avenue in Eureka by the Burre Center and the County Office of Education. Both poles were sheared off, according to a witness. A motorcycle hit the debris and went down. There were only minor injuries. However, Myrtle is closed between Cooper Gulch and Cousins Street.

Chop & drop.
Another Saturday night in Drunkreka…
Slow down folks
If only Eureka had their utilities underground
If only people were better at taking care of themselves.
Hard to do while going anywhere close to the speed limit.
Wonder if driver gets billed by utilities for repair costs? And police and fire department time involved? Would insurance company pay? Anyone know?
Which power pole was at fault ?
Geeze slow down maybe. Just a thought!
