[UPDATE 7:45 p.m.] Fire Spreading From a Water Heater in a Miranda Home

Fire is spreading from a water heater at a home in the 200 block of School Street on Maple Lane in Miranda as of 6:47 p.m., according to the scanner.

Miranda Fire, Phillipsville Fire, and Cal Fire have all been requested to respond to the scene.

UPDATE 7:03 p.m.: The fire crews are requesting another water tender. Neighbors are saying everyone is safely out of the home.

UPDATE 7:14 p.m.:
The trailer is still on fire. Here’s a video from a few minutes ago by Michelle Vandenack.

UPDATE 7:16 p.m.: The flames have been knocked back some but the single wide motorhome is still burning.

UPDATE 7:45 p.m.: Neighbors are gathering donations. The children living there are a girl in approximately 9th grade and a boy in 5th. We’ll update with more information on where to donate as soon as possible.

UPDATE 7:53 p.m.: “All windows are now being broken out to ventilate and fire is out,” reports a neighbor, Lonny Whitlow.

There will be a donation jar at the Miranda Market set up for Brian and his family. They have lost everything. We have a great community. Let’s all help. Thanks.
