Eureka Police named Brett Hansen as the suspect in the September 17th bikejacking/carjacking mini crime spree at the Bayshore Mall.

Suspect in orange“We got a lot of tips identifying him,” explained Brittany Powell of the Eureka Police Department. “There is not yet a warrant but we are working on it. [However,] he does have two other felony warrants not related to the carjacking from an incident on January 1st, 2016 and another one from an Arcata case.”

The warrant from the January 2016 case stemmed from an incident on New Years Day when two suspects were allegedly caught trying to break into a business on Broadway.
