Arcata Fire District Invites Community to Annual Fire Prevention Open House

This is a press release from the Arcata Fire District:

Arcata, CA – The Arcata Fire District invites the community to join us for our annual Fire Prevention Open House on Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the downtown Arcata Station located at 631 9^th Street, Arcata.

This event is for the whole family!  Come down and explore our different fire engines and trucks, try on fire gear, learn about firefighting equipment and tools, operate a fire hose, meet Smokey the Bear, practice using a fire extinguisher, and most importantly learn about home fire safety.

Joining us will be some of our neighboring agencies including the Arcata Police Department, Arcata Mad River Ambulance, Cal Fire and many more.

This is not an event you will want to miss and all are welcome!  We look forward to seeing you there!
