Over a Thousand Plant Marijuana Trespass Grow Eradicated Near Panther Gap
Yesterday, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office and the California National Guard Counter Drug Unit rolled into a remote trespass marijuana grow located in the Panther Gap area not far from Honeydew. Trucks, a woodchipper, and even a helicopter were deployed.
Lt. Bryan Quenell of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office said that the grow was located on State Park land and property belonging to Humboldt Redwoods.
1064 plants were eradicated in the Cuneo Creek area, he said.
No one was arrested.
