[UPDATE 10:52 p.m.] Car Crash Near Zenia; One Medevacked to Redding

 

At approximately 4 p.m., two vehicles collided on the Ruth Zenia Road somewhere between Ruth Lake and the Zenia Guard Station. Early reports from the remote area indicated that four people were injured. However, that hasn’t been confirmed.  We do know that one patient was sent to Mercy by helicopter and an ambulance was sent to St. Joseph’s with at least one other.

At one point, the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office was requested because “people were starting to fight.”

UPDATE 10:52 p.m.: According to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page, this is now listed as a major injury accident.
