North Coast People’s Alliance Holding ‘Run, Serve, Lead!’ Workshop in McKinleyville

This is a press release from North Coast People’s Alliance:

MCKINLEYVILLE, CA – The North Coast People’s Alliance (NCPA) will bring its popular workshop ‘Run, Serve, Lead! – Introduction to Civic Engagement’ to McKinleyville on Friday, Sept. 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Grace Good Shepherd Church, 1450 Hiller Road.

The first “Run, Serve, Lead” drew roughly 100 people in Arcata in June, and was praised as “Exceptionally well done! Most up-lifting event I have attended since the election.

The workshop provides fundamental information for anyone considering running for office, applying to serve on an appointed board or commission, volunteering for a local campaign, or simply becoming a more actively engaged citizen.

McKinleyville Community Services District Board Member George Wheeler, McKinleyville Municipal Advisory Committee Member Craig Tucker, Humboldt Area Foundation Leadership Program Manager Ron White, and Northern Humboldt Union High School Board member Dana Silvernale will participate in a panel discussion and audience Q&A session. Arcata City Council Member Sofia Pereira will speak about preparing to run for office, and NCPA volunteers will share important resources and information pertaining to civic engagement.

There is a suggested donation of $5 per person; however, no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

The North Coast People’s Alliance evolved from Northern Humboldt for Bernie Sanders. After the primary, NCPA members decided to continue to work together to build an organization to empower ordinary people to become more engaged in political processes.

They are perfectly entitled to have thier political event. But everyone just remember in spite of the complete BS on Disney owned news, just who these nut-jobs turned and worshiped after being persuaded by thier betrayer Bernie who stabbed them in the back and through the dirty DNC primary for Hillary. Think twice before joining thier new political cult.

Oh great for all you little socialist snow flakes out there. As if Humboldt County doesn’t have enough problems, as if California isn’t already being flushed down the toilet.

By all means, lets finish off the destruction and get more of you no nothings involved in local government. God help us all.

Heaven forbid people get involved in government–you might think we were a democracy!

We are a Constitutional Republic that uses the Democratic ballot to vote for Constitutional laws only. Any law not in pursuance of the Constitution is repugnant to the Constitution and is to be considered null and void.
All officials take an oath to obey the restrictions of the Constitution. They may promote their ideology, but they are not allowed to enforce their ideologies that are contrary to the Constitution.
The people created the Constitution in order to restrict officials from ruling over them.
Read the Declaration of Independence for insights of what the people escaped from and promised in contract form to never let it happen again.
Any who conspire to destroy the Constitution, the rights of the people, are traitors that can brought to justice.

Are you promoting treason?

The Bill of Rights is an example list of people’s natural born rights, lest they be taught by power hungry politicians differently, and forget.

This is one reason why the Department of Education is unconstitutional.

It's just too bad that Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders didnt actually practice what they preach, they might have gotten a little further in the election. But at least burnie got a nice little Beachside Cottage out of the deal.

It sounds like this is a pretty partisan group, so I’m going to bow out of this event. I’m not calling names or anything, but civic leadership should be bipartisan and inclusive.
