Thief on a Bike May Be Responsible for String of Robberies

Press release from the Eureka Police Department:

EPD Eureka Police DepartmentThe Eureka Police Department is investigating a string of commercial armed robberies that occurred during a two week span on the west side of Eureka.

August 14, 2017 around 3:15 a.m. gas station on the 3500 block of Broadway
August 30, 2017 around 6:45 a.m. gas station on the 1700 block of Broadway
September 1, 2017 around 1:15 a.m. convenience store on the 30 block of Wabash

In each incident, a male enters the store, brandishes a firearm, and flees on a bike with an undisclosed amount of cash. Based on the similarities, it appears the incidents could be related, however detectives are exploring all possibilities.

What a great theory, especially the part where they assume there’s only one armed robber on a bicycle in Eureka.
