Press release from Trinity County Health and Human Services:

Trinity County and the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (CalOES) are establishing a Local Assistance Center (LAC) to provide information and assistance to those impacted by the Helena fire.

The LAC will provide a single facility at which individuals and families can access available disaster assistance programs and services.

The LAC will include representatives from local and state agencies, as well as non-profit and voluntary organizations.

The Local Assistance Center will be open Tuesday, September 5th from 12:00PM-7:00PM, and Wednesday, September 6th from 8:00AM-7:00PM, until further notice. Ongoing need for the Local Assistance Center will be assessed on a daily basis.
