Southern Trinity Area Rescue Offering Paid EMT Position for First Time

Southern Trinity Health Services/Southern Trinity Area Rescue has the following position open for its Ambulance service in Mad River, California.

EMT/Paramedic: Responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergency requests for ambulance service and administering BLS and/or ALS care to sick and injured persons in pre-hospital setting, and transporting sick or injured persons to the appropriate medical facility (following Nor Cal EMS protocols).

Physical Requirements: While performing the essential duties of the job, the employee must be able to stand, sit, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, push and pull; raise and lower the end of a gurney that may weigh over 250 lb., using proper lifting techniques; lift equipment from one level to another that may weigh over 25 lb., must also be able to carry said equipment up multiple flights of stairs or over rough terrain for variable distances to the scene of an accident; use hands and fingers to grasp, hold, pull or otherwise handle equipment and patients; use legs, arms, hands to drive an ambulance, with normal range of motion of the neck. Must have good hearing ability and clarity of near and far vision, if corrective devices are needed they must be worn at all times while on duty.

Qualifications:

• Current EMT Basic Certification or Paramedic Licensure
• Current CPR Certificate
• Ambulance Driver’s Certificate

Current California Driver’s License

Current DMV Physical (medical form)

Position is Full Time for weekend coverage.
