I LOVE the Goobsterdam Farmer’s Market! It is the ONE THING that makes life in SoHum great in the summer, and the ONLY TIME it’s really comfortable to go to the “town square”. I would travel for hours to attend.

no wonder venders are hard to find…. “vender” is ancient english…. try looking for modern-day vendors instead….

see https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/vender

I read that the NY Times uses it but not too many other people do. No matter, we know what you meant. Or at least I did. 🙂

Also, there is an awesome kitchen ready to go in town…I’m selling all of my freezers, fridges & equipment…so far no takers, but I’m trying to get the word out. It would be an awesome place to start a farmers market business.

It’s vendOr. 🙂

How about the Hawaiian food truck pulling into there on Fridays, and what happened to the Dank truck? Doesn’t the Lost Frenchman still have the portable oven? Maybe people could make that happen. It used to be very popular. Do you need a food safety permit? There was BBQ vendor last week that was doing well.

I could probably throw a pot of chili together and maybe a bunch of taters or corn bread, but it’ll be pricey, only growers and family of growers can afford my fixins, and also humboldt county sheriff and coroner’s office, but its good eatin.

i wish they would move that market to later in the day, like the mckinleyville and fortuna mkts which are 330 to 630. it gets mighty hot there in garbistan through the middle of the day. nice fountain though. funny how so many people think of themselves as farmers down here. if the shit hits the fan we’ll probably starve
