Suspect in Burglary Found in Attic Thanks to Tip From a Member of the Public
This is a press release from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:
Last night deputies continued to investigate this incident. 23 year old Johnny Ray Mobley (see attached photo) was located hiding in the attic of a residence near where the suspect vehicle was located. Stolen property was also located in the attic with Mobley. Additionally Mobley had 3 out of county felony warrants for various narcotics charges. The second suspect was arrested on an outstanding warrant, but probable cause for an arrest in this incident did not exist at this time. The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the local media, especially the on line sites the Lost Coat Outpost, and the Redheaded Blackbelt. This investigation spotlighted how Sheriff’s Office, the public and the media can all work together. With the increase in crime neighbors are the piece of the puzzle the Sheriff’s Office really needs. The Sheriff’s Office also participates in managing local neighborhood watch programs. If a neighborhood is interested in starting a watch please contact the Sheriff’s Office at 445-7251. We can provide signs, instruction and documents to set up a team.

Shouldn’t there be a few dozen comments on race on with this article?
Multiple warrants, multiple warrants, multiple warrants, multiple warrants. What is wrong here? These scumbags keep getting turned loose for ripping off our color tv that took us two years to pay for and they sell it for fifty bucks. How many of us see the problem here??
