No report on the abandoned vehicle fire in Miranda.
CHP left it after tagging…windows get busted, tires stolen, finally in the middle of the night it gets torched. VFD gets no money from CHP or the county for having to get up out of warm beds to save the community from a potential wildland fire. WTF?

I don’t understand why that car was still there to be torched. It’s been there probably two months. In the last week, it’s had its back window busted out, had all four wheels removed and was dragged closer to the road in the turnout. I drive by twice a day and noticed it happening. Where are the chp? Don’t they drive this road everyday? Didn’t they notice the progression of vandalism? Why didn’t they remove the damn car? And who left it there? Whoever it was should be responsible for the removal and the damn time energy and effort it took the fire dept to put it out in the middle of the night! This is just ridiculous!

We have 2 DEAD vehicles just West of where I live, on Hwy 36, just waiting for some idiot to light them off they have been there for a LOOONG time but as yet I have seen no effort to move them somewhere else before they are lit on fire!!! Not to mention another dead vehicle a couple of miles West of the other 2!!! Luckily??? this particular one has already been torched!!! It was involved in a crime spree a few months ago but is still sitting in the turnout where it was torched!!!
