Yikes, that does not sound good.
A long time Search and Rescue ( & recovery ) person taught me a long time ago, the Buzzards will find the missing hurt or dead humans before the rescuers.
Totally. Wildlife rules in this neck of the woods.
Wow, doesn’t sound very good, but if it’s new, you wouldn’t have that smell.
Not necessarily, enough law and order has taught me that murderers hide body’s in trunks and push the cars off cliffs……
Right if it’s new my exact thought
Lost a friend up there to the river.. Twisty roads…sorry for the family members..
Sounds like the Trinity claimed yet another victim!!! So sad, condolences to the family of whomever it turns out to be!!!
Were those 4 missing men from S Cal ever found?
I’ve been wondering the same thing….where are they?
Good question. No, they haven’t been found.

has “the trinity” put another notch on it’s headboard or was it st hgwy 101 who can claim this one?
as awful as it is, i’d think the family will be relieved (somewhat) that their loved one had been located (somewhat).
i hope the best for the loved ones who will eventually receive the horrible news.
It’s sad but the river, like the highway, is not responsible. Human error, judgment or state of mind, is.
The Trinity doesn’t parallel Hwy 101.
prayers to the family/families

Must have been a dead deer. I don’t think a body would smell that bad 3 ft. under water.
I agree, something else in the vicinity. But then, I’m not csi.
The odor & buzzards could have been poaching remains thrown off the side of the road…not uncommon. They count on the buzzards to take care of the evidence.
There is nothing worse than a boat on scene but no divers Isn’t that a little dumb. Buzzards flying around and a bad smell but it is a recent accident? This whole thing sounds like one hand not knowing what other hand is doing.
We have about eight people missing in Trinity since March 2017 ,that’s not counting all the ones from last year or other years something like 28 folks over a few years…anyone else know what type of vehicle..in River.
Any know the color of the santa fe to shed some light on whom it may be,were going crazy not knowing,in the article no color of suv, anyone have a hint of the color of the santa fe.
