Country Star Toby Keith Releases New Single, ‘Wacky Tobaccy,’ Which Mentions Humboldt County

Yesterday, country music star Toby Keith released a song celebrating getting high on marijuana. The “Wacky Tobaccy” video features everything from Willie Nelson hotboxing by himself in the tour bus bathroom to a tour bus numbered 420. The subtle and not too subtle references to cannabis culture include a mention of Humboldt County, too

If you are so self-righteous and liberal thinking, you should know that the term “Redneck” is a offensive term as stated here “redneck definition

A slang term, usually for a rural white southerner who is politically conservative, racist, and a religious fundamentalist (see fundamentalism). This term is generally considered offensive. It originated in reference to agricultural workers, alluding to how the back of a person’s neck will be burned by the sun if he works long hours in the fields.”

I though liberal were supposed to be non-judgmental and laud diversity and are repulsed by divisive terms….. I guess you are one who uses terms they don’t know the origin or meaning of

Thanks, man. Remember, truth and reality rank very low in the conservative pantheon. Says Captain Obvious.

They were called rednecks because on the times they went into town ( Sunday church) their mothers would scrub there necks so hard it got red. Then when they grew up they kept doing it. It fit in with the beating the devil out themselves philosophy of life.
A farmer tan is not a redneck.
I think you might not be from the Deep South.

A conservative complaining about self-righteousness!?! Sheesh! Get out much? All you Trumpers are due for stars on the Kremlin Wall of Honor, but libs are self-righteous. Be sure to list your vote in the Family Bible so your descendants will know who to honor.

Yes, he is (no disrespect intended, humboldt honey & Proud Army Mom, I just googled it). I think that might be more of a reflection of Islamic law than his ideals though, his rep said “no comment” to the men only stipulation, and further to that, this singer says he’ll perform for his country, no matter who is president, no matter where it is, no matter what the rules are, because he’s all about entertaining people. He’s a singer, and he performs where he’s asked to. I’m not sure if he’s an asshole or not, never met the guy, but if he is, better to be a blatant asshole than a duplicitous, manipulative creep

Toby Keith and the video are great .Oh yeah, and Willie Nelson. However, I could do without a music video sure to hit the top of the charts that promotes drug use.

Geust? Gotta love it. Take alcohol, nicotine and coffee out of country/western music and it would leave a big hole. Glad to see Toby and Willie promoting a much safer drug than most of ’em. Thanks, guys.

Drug overdose is the leading cause of death for Americans under 50.
No one has ever died from an overdose of cannabis.

To say it’s not a drug shows deterioration of intelligence from that many years of abuse. But to each his own. I care not. But it is a drug. And a powerful one.

Humboldt was the gem of cannabis when I was a teenager in rural Indiana back in the day. Humboldt will always have that brand. 😎

I always like finding changing words in songs after hearing them too long.
I envisioned ” white lightning ” changed to mean a specific strain grown in a backwoods camouflaged indoor ( it matches a ” still ” best.)
Then change big city guy with rap star who gets so loaded he face plants.
I am guessing he is reviving old moonshiner songs with a fresh face.

The folk group Sheila and Jessie recorded a song called Wacky Tobaccy in the late 70’s here in SoHum–I recommend it…
