Fire Crews Attempting to Contain Vegetation Fire Near Manila Community Center

A vegetation Fire broke out in the Manila area around 1 p.m. today, according to scanner traffic. Although the exact location of the fire is unclear based on scanner traffic, a dispatcher said over the scanner that the fire is near the Manila Community Center.

Crews at the scene are reporting that the fire is about 1 to 1 1/2 acres at this point and has potential to spread to about 3 acres. Crews are reporting that the fire has a moderate rate of spread.

We’ll update this post when we hear more.

Update 2:45 p.m.: The fire is contained.

Oh man…lots of fires EVERYWHERE it seems! Catch the arsonists early, so we can be safer! Soooooo many fires! yikes
