Just before 1 a.m., a witness reported that he heard two explosions in Hoopa in the 12,600 block of Hwy 96 in Hoopa. Fire then broke out in a double-wide trailer behind Joe’s Deli in Hoopa.

A few minutes later per traffic over the scanner, the trailer was “fully involved.”

The fire burned a bit into the surrounding grass but didn’t spread far.

Gee, it’s kind of looking like there’s an arsonist in Humboldt….whole lot of fires lately.

Sadly it seems that there are folks in the Hoopa area who choose to cause harm to others. Pretty darn tragic to those who lose their home to an arsonists whims.
