Brrr…Snow Predicted for Them There Hills

National Weather Service snow prediction graphicDoes June know that it is almost summer?

According to the National Weather Service, some of the interior mountain areas of the Emerald Counties could expect snow between now and tomorrow afternoon. In fact, they say, Hwy 3 near Scott Mountain Summit might be affected.

Here’s their statement on Facebook,

A strong upper level low will move through NW California this weekend, bringing in cool and wet weather to the area. Snow level is expected to drop to around 4000 to 5000 feet. Do expect rain and snow showers near Scott Mountain Summit through Sunday afternoon, with storm total snow accumulation less than 2 inches.

I know, but its Batman. Also, I signed up for the Adam West fan club years ago and never received anything. I’m still waiting.

on jan 12, 1966 i was almost 8 yrs old. my little sister joanne was born about 2pm while i was at school.
at 7pm that night my brother john, 5, and i sat in front of our old black and white tv and watched the 1st episode of the new series “Batman”. wiki said the episode was “Hi Diddle Riddle”.

of course every jan 12 i tell joanne about how she came about and how she ushered the batman into our lives. thank you batman!
nana nana nana BATMAN!!

the high temp that day was 26*F, the low was 14*. just a dusting of snow.

[little did i know that my attraction to robin would usher me into a life of being attracted to safe but unavailable gay men….lol…oh robin!]

A few years ago, like 20, I remember leaving here on my katana 1100 for grants pass, Oregon. I was wearing a short sleeve shirt, shorts, and a helmet. When I left it was hot here, so I thought it must be HOT HOT in grants pass. When I got to the tunnel, I thought oh fuck! I shoulda brought clothes and money. I finally got to my cousins house and was snowed in for 2 weeks…we still laugh about that. I had no money or clothes and stuck in June for 2 weeks for snow.

In the late 80’s we were trout fishing on the Chetco in july and got snowed on. And then in August we got more snow at Point St.George lighthouse. 11 miles of shore. But the fishing was awesome
