[UPDATE 4:45 p.m.] Traffic Collision With Guns Drawn off of Kings Peak Road
A vehicle went off of Kings Peak Road about 3:30 p.m. According to scanner traffic, first responders were supposed to stage out of the area and California Highway Patrol officers were reported to be at the scene of the crash with “guns drawn.”
Caution: When breaking news is coming in, details can be confused. We’re making every effort to report accurately but, remember, even those at the scene can be confused.
UPDATE 4:08 p.m.: According to scanner traffic, “CHP is still looking for the suspect” and other agencies are on the scene. Presumably, someone in the vehicle that went off the road is the suspect being sought BUT that has not been confirmed.
UPDATE 4:45 p.m.: According to scanner traffic, the suspect is still on the loose but the incident has been terminated. As yet we don’t know what the crime the individual is suspected of committing.

Welcome to the wild, wild west…how stupid does one have to be to pull a gun on the CHP?
I didn’t hear anything about the suspect pulling a gun on the CHP. But rather that the CHP were at the scene of the crash with their guns drawn.
Traffic was stopped coming into the cove from Paradise ridge. 6 CHP crusiers came through and fire they opened the road but at each hairpin an officer was looking down the hillside with guns drawn
Lots of sirens going that way, at least six.
what ind of vehicle???
I don’t have an official answer.
Could be that they have a warrant for the suspect and knew it was them due to the registration of the vehicle. Could be violent and obviously a runner, hence guns drawn.
Never a dull moment, which is exactly the opposite of the way I like things.
Crash and dash is how everyone does it. Why 7 chp for this guy. How bout a description he could be at the deli right now
Called and asked: CHP said press release coming soon.
So maybe this isn’t the place but has anyone heard anything about the P.O.S. that plowed down the lady near Mcdonald’s and than ran, back in March? That got awful quiet, QUICK
Any more updates about what exactly happened or who was involved?
