Seems like theres more missing dogs this year, there missing dog signs all over the place
What we believed help get Princess home was to put out a few pieces of clothes that had been recently worn, in various areas in a two mile radius…by water sources, near intersections, etc. We checked those places frequently and we found her very close to a shirt near a stream. We did this and put up posters everywhere we could! We hope Taurus makes it home soon.
Why would @kymkemp write about this but not about the court case involving the hit and run murder from shelter cove.
What up?
Imagine running a little website essentially by yourself. Imagine driving to Eureka (1 1/2 hours away–3 hours round trip–not to mention the time in the courtroom and the time it takes to craft a solid story– plus gas money for a hill truck) Imagine being gone from all the other stories that happen when you are in the courtroom. That takes a large percentage of my energy and money I have to spend on any one story. Then imagine someone sending you a photo and some information and asking you to print it–it takes maybe 25 minutes to put together and while you do it you can still monitor other issues of concern to your readers.
Which do you think you could manage?
On the other hand, if you would like to send me a large check or support my advertisers that would lead to me being able to hire people to help.
Right on kym you do so much for our community thank you for your service
Not to mention there would be a lot of pets who were never reunited with their human if you didn’t do this Kym. Thanks for doing what you do!
It appears Kym is covering the hit and run murder case in Shelter Cove (she’s a reporter, not a law enforcement investigator) as the information becomes available to her. Someone is missing their dog companion, which is a BIG, important issue for the owner, and is also important to people in the community who care about reuniting missing dogs with their people. Kym is absolutely AWESOME with supporting finding lost dogs, or helping people who find dogs to locate their owner, it is an invaluable service to our community (along with everything else she reports). I could be wrong, but there seems to be a bit of self righteous hostility in your comment. Give Kym a break!!
Kym Kemp is a saint without her I would have never gotten back my beloved wiener dog Mopar ,so anybody gotta say something bad about her should have their head examined thoroughly. again kym thank you so much for all you do for our community.
The dog looks brown more than black. Maybe the light playing tricks. Hope he gets home safe.
To: suckonit, if that court case interest you so much that you think Kym should drop everything and drive 1 1/2 hrs and sit for who knows how long in a court room and focus on just that case so you can get information on it, I say suckleonit… Why don’t you go to court and we’ll all wait for Kyms story. You do a great job Kim. Thank you
Glad Taurus found his human!
This site fills a niche that the local press has abandoned. It tells me what is going on with the less sensationalized stories in our county. Frequently you’ll see something here that will show up a couple of days later in the other places. I believe that presence of a site like this actually sometimes drags the formal media into reporting something they would not otherwise mention. Less spin.
I like hearing what the end of the story is too, which will occasionally show up here and nowhere else. That and the comments of those who have direct knowledge make this worth a check first.
