Victim in Fatal Hit and Run Identified
The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office released the name of the 49-year-old McKinleyville man that was killed in a hit and run incident on Hwy 101 north of the Arcata Airport on May 5. Ralph Pak Summers has been positively identified as the deceased.
Officer Cy May, a spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol, noted “we have one party under arrest. We have reason to believe another vehicle was involved.” The CHP has said previously that a 1997-2003 Ford F-150 is believed to be the second vehicle.
May stated, “We are optimistic that the driver [of the second vehicle] will be found.”
