Try all over the country, not just our county.
I grew up in the 80’s and we ran away then too. It doesnt mean she’s “lost” probably just upset.
Way to judge from your armchair.

Oh little one if you are out there and okay, please go home. Don’t break your Mama’s heart.

13 year olds run to not away – shake the trees momma, someone knows where she is. I bet she is close by. It’s rainy, she must be indoors. If any adult is helping her hide, they should be held accountable. My first thought is that there is a boy or girl involved. Someone gave her the courage to run (bad advice at the least). Find her before some predator does! These streets are not paved in gold, Evil runs amuck in our county.

The big question is why would a young girl runaway from a secure home and family? Was her emotional needs not being met. Did her family life cause her to develop fears and her reaction was to runaway? Something was missing. Or sometimes it doesn’t matter how much, how often, or how closely you keep an eye on things you can’t control them. Sometimes things and people just go. Just like that. But when it does it feels tragic.

Glad she is home, but this is exactly the kind of over reaction that cause police to not take reports of runaways seriously. I get that mom was worried, but did she really think it was a situation that warranted this coverage.

Glad to read that she is found and safe.

No matter why she ran away, my hope is that the family get the support they need to work out whatever the issues are.
