[UPDATE 10:20 a.m.] Boat and Rescue Swimmers Responding to Fish Hatchery in Blue Lake

Breaking news graphic According to scanner traffic at approximately 8:45 a.m., a boat and rescue swimmers are responding to the Fish Hatchery south of Blue Lake to the report of a person in the water two to three hundred yards downstream.

UPDATE 8:49 a.m.: “Subject is on the bank with an EMT,” reported Dispatch.

UPDATE 10:20 a.m.: According to Stacy Hanson, spokesperson for the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, her department responded to the call but, when they got there, the person in the water had made their way to shore. The individual is uninjured.
