Mendocino’s Zip Ties for Medical Marijuana Are Back

Press release from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office:

The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce that we will resume sales of voluntary zip ties for Medical Marijuana immediately.

The zip ties are voluntary and serve the purpose of identifying legal marijuana plants in the field saving Mendocino County Sheriff’s Deputies time when they encounter these plants.

The program was temporarily halted while the Board of Supervisors worked on the new county ordinance.  Although that ordinance is not completed it will not affect those growing legitimate medical marijuana for personal use.

To purchase voluntary zip ties you must come to the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office stations in Ukiah or Fort Bragg and present a valid medical recommendation and current government photo ID.

The cost of the zip ties remains at $25.00 each.  This fee may be discounted by fifty percent (50%) for Medi-Cal, SSI and CMSP recipients, and equivalent income qualified veterans.

25 bucks a pop is outrageous. All in the name of saving officers time? I think I’ll hang on to my hard earned money and let the sheriffs do their job.

Everyone going to get arrested again after paying for zip ties? Mendo swag is almost not worth the zip tie! You guys are living in the past!
I hear the swag these guys grow gets sold for half the price of what we get up here. The bud there has no flavor and no spice. I also noticed that for once someone not from men do win the cup since it isnt in shanti Rosa anymore.
Suck it mendo! Suck it! Go and buy your zip ties, and clean up your north end, looks worse than phillipsville along the river there, full on tweeky ass junkyard 2 feet from the water. And get them Piercy crosseyed growers , pay them a visit!

Um you do realize that, other than an imaginary line created by humans, there is no difference in Humboldt county and Mendocino county when it comes to outdoor pot growing right? Same climate, same landscape, same time zone, etc.

I disagree. Humboldt might grow alot more but they don’t have the right weather/climate to grow the best . Mendo grows the world’s best cannabis and everyone knows it. Go to Humboldt for quanity. Mendo for quality

So are you saying that if I sat two individual pounds of weed in front of you, one grown in Humboldt, the other in Mendo, you would be able to tell me where each one was grown?

Really? You are a genius arent you?
Funny that the same plant grown by a neighbor on an adjacent property looks worse. Ever heard of micro climates?
Or is everybody the same distance from the ocean? Is everyone magically on a perfect hilltop?
If you ever had more than one location to work with your have noticed a difference, but here you are dont know what it is your talking about. Your apparently from mendo no spice no flavor and no knowledge on top of that, not a good combo bruh, cash me outside!

Neighbor: notsobright why does your plant look so much worse than mine that I grew right next door?

Notsobright: It’s because the climate over here is so much different than over there bruh!

Humboldt mega grow bud doused in Avid, or Eagle20 has good flavor and spice? Why so mad at mendo growers? Sad!

Not mad at Mendo growers. Just stating a fact that humans created county lines. Mother nature doesn’t acknowledge them. Spy Rock weather is for the most part the same as Alder point weather on most given days.

What’s important is the belief that your information will never be used against you, and it will never be provided to the Feds. If someone comes to jack your shit, you can make a friendly local call to your friendly local deputies for some friendly immediate assistance. And, perhaps most importantly, what is the value of your peace of mind? $25 seems quite affordable considering all of these benefits!

Why, your neighbors might even feel jealous, knowing that some are paying above and beyond their taxes and fees for additional personal law enforcement services. I’ll even venture to speculate a few might take up the hobby and zip a few ties, just to secure the good graces of po po a la mo’ dough.

Yeah, that worked out well for Cohen and Northstone Organics, Allman’s “Poster Child” of the zip tie program, didn’t it?

Yeah, that worked out so well when the feds subpoenaed the list. Everything will be all set when Neo-Confederate Jeff B. sessions III and The Lord show up for this list.

Regulatory taking is a situation in which a government regulation limits the uses of private property to such a degree that the regulation effectively deprives the property owners of economically reasonable use or value of their property to such an extent that it deprives them of utility or value of that property, even though the regulation does not formally divest them of title to it.

That’s happening all over the country believe it or not. Everywhere else I own property they put so many restrictions all you can do is mow the grass. Can’t park anything on actually can’t do shit. Where have our freedoms gone?

Instead of insulting each others counties… lets band together to overcome the real problems faced by this government and help the fellow people.

All the best weed comes from Bell Springs and Spyrock. Humboldt Marijuana reputation is based upon weed from North Mendo and South Humboldt combined and anyone knows that that knows anything. So get off your high horse.

The dealers of zip ties should be arrested for drug racketeering, and if found guilty, deported to Mexico after they labor to complete the wall.
Disgusting to see open drug dealing gangs in government.

What they aren’t saying, now, is that every medical grower is going to be required to do this no matter how few plants one grows.
And trying to get a gov medical Id from the county is getting harder to get. You will also have to have one of these cards. 1 card = 6 plants
What I find strange is that no Dr or a person in the medical field has had any input on this.
The gov has become your Dr and pharmacy. The gov can not tell a person how much medicine a person needs.
This seems to leave it open to lawsuits happening.

6 plants in a 10×10 area, and in an enclosed area. Meaning plants have to be inside a permitted, up to code building. This is for medical and recreational. I think you can grow medical outside but still has to be in a 10×10 area, or get a water board permit.
I guess we will only know for sure in April.

Watch what you wish for has legalization worked out for anyone but a few mega large growers? It’s a dying industry now a race to the bottom filled with people that never should be in the business. You’ll be begging people to buy it oh you are already I forgot.
