[UPDATE 5:18 p.m.] Power Down for Over Two Thousand This Morning in Northeastern Humboldt

At 4:34 a.m. 2023 customers in the Weitchpec, Hoopa, and Orleans area lost power. PG&E has assigned a crew to assess the outage but, at this point, the cause is unknown. They do hope to have power restored by 10 a.m. but that may be hampered by the closing of Hwy 96 just before 2 a.m. today.

UPDATE 2:03 p.m.: According to PG&E, the power is still unavailable to over 2000 customers. The new estimated time of restoral is 6 p.m.

UPDATE 5:18 p.m.: Power is restored!
