[UPDATE 9:15 p.m.] Drug Raid Ongoing in Eureka
One man and one woman have been handcuffed and detained. Reportedly, methamphetamine,
heroin, and marijuana have been located in the home. (See here for a video from North Coast News.)
UPDATE 9:15 p.m.: We spoke to Lt. Bryan Quenell of the Drug Task Force, he told us that earlier reports that heroin and marijuana were located were incorrect. Although a drug sniffing dog was brought in, only one gram of meth was located in the home along with packaging indicating sales, and three firearms, said Quenell. The firearms were not registered.
Quenell said, the DTF will be asking for warrants for the residents but as the amount of drugs found was a misdemeanor amount, no one was arrested at this time.
