[UPDATE 1:50 p.m.] Pedestrian Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle near the Rohner Park basketball courts in Fortuna. The individual was injured and an ambulance is responding from Eureka.

UPDATE 1:30 p.m.: According to the personnel on scene, the patient is alert and complaining of hip pain. He said that the ambulance can reduce from Code 3 to Code 2.

UPDATE 1:50 p.m.: The patient is an elderly woman who was backed into by a vehicle at a low rate of speed, according to scanner traffic.
