Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary Cleanup Day
Join the First Arcata Marsh Clean Up Day of 2017 on Saturday, February 4 17
The City of Arcata’s Environmental Services Department and the Friends of the Arcata Marsh invite you to join them for the first Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary cleanup day of the year on Saturday, February 4, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers will meet at 9 a.m. at the South G Street parking lot of the Arcata Marsh Interpretive Center.
Participants will remove invasive plants such as fennel and stubborn pampas grass as well as trash, improving conditions for native plants and animals. Be sure to wear a long sleeve shirt, work pants and boots and bring rain gear and water. Gloves, tools, snacks and beverages will be provided.
