A big rig and a pickup collided on Hwy 101 between Laytonville and Leggett (north of Camp Winnarainbow) about 11 a.m. The entire roadway is blocked. The driver of the big rig is at Howard Hospital.

California Office of Emergency Services has been contacted for a fuel spill. Caltrans has a loader on the way which is projected to arrive a little after 1 p.m. Until then, the road is likely to be closed.

UPDATE 1:15 p.m.: According to Caltrans spokesperson Eli Rohl, the road will not be open for about another hour.

He said about 75 gallons of fuel and oil spread across the lanes as a result of this accident.

Traffic is backed up about three miles according to a towing company.

UPDATE 1:40 p.m.: According to Eli Rohl the road now has one-way traffic control. Below are photos from Caltrans of the incident.

Camp Winnarainbow is the Comune owned by Wavy Gravy. It’s on the back end of the property where they have the Kate Wolf Music Festival.

Close but no cigar, Miss Lori. Black Oak Ranch is owned by the Hog Farm family, of which Wavy is a member. Camp Winnarainbow is a separate affiliate that rents a camping facility on the property.
