APD Releases Names and Photos of Armed Robbery Suspects

This is a press release from the Arcata Police Department. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

On 01/18/2017, at approximately 1141 hrs, the Arcata Police Department Communications Center received a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred at a business in the 2200 blk of Alliance Rd.

The clerk reported a man entered the business, displayed a firearm and demanded cash. After taking the money, the man fled in a vehicle. The clerk was able to provide an accurate description of the suspect and his vehicle including a partial license plate number. APD officers immediately began searching the area for the suspect and vehicle.

At approximately 1150 hrs, a Humboldt State University Police Officer assisting in the search located the suspect vehicle traveling westbound on Hwy 255. APD officers responded to the area and the vehicle was stopped near the intersection of Lupin Dr and Hwy 255. The two male occupants of the vehicle were detained without incident. The clerk from the victim business was able to positively identify one of the subjects as the man who had robbed the business at gunpoint.

A firearm, consistent with the one used in the robbery, and cash were located in the vehicle.
Desmon Isaac Van, 19 of McKinleyville and Lucas Sebastian Herrera, 20 of Manilla were arrested and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on a charge of 211 PC, Armed Robbery.

Two local losers.
This place is a joke, in any of the other states in this country they would get locked up for 15 years minimum, work camp and such, put these two dummies to work, help our economy, don’t they need help digging a ditch tomorrow? Idiots like these two dont need freedom, the thinking should be done for them,and let them dig ditches and dmake lots of license plates or split firewood.
