[UPDATE 6:31 p.m.] Weather and Roads, Wednesday

After being buffeted by storms for the last four days, the weather should be calmer. The National Weather Service is predicting much less rain today. This should help with flooding. The main rivers across the Emerald Counties have “either already crested or will crest through the morning hours and recede through the day.”

Expect the Humboldt Bay area though to experience some flooding due to high tides. High Tide is at 10:09 for the Humboldt Bay North Spit and flooding could begin two hours previously.

Snow is possible down to 3000 feet this morning and 2000 feet this afternoon into the evening, according to the weather Service.

We should have sunnier skies this weekend before another storm next week.
