[UPDATE 10:38 a.m.: All’s Well!] Rescuers Gathering to Find Woman in Labor Walking Towards Shelter Cove
A woman in labor may be on foot walking near the Kings Peak area east of Shelter Cove walking towards that town, according to information on the scanner. It is unknown what exact road she was on. She was in a white Toyota 4Runner but information coming in second hand from her parent states she may be walking now.
Other sources report there is snow in the area.
Emergency dispatch is paging Search and Rescue units as well as Volunteer Fire Departments in the Shelter Cove/Briceland/Whitethorn/Telegraph Ridge area.
UPDATE 10:30 a.m.: The woman reported to her parent that she is currently on foot and walking past the Shelter Cove deli.
UPDATE 10:38 a.m.: Emergency dispatch reports that the situation was not as reported “This was a miscommunication” between the subject and her parent, dispatch said.

It will be a story to tell the kids when they are acting up. “I had to walk up hill, in the snow, with no shoes to birth your little ass. Now sit down and shut up, before I turn this car around” I hope she and the child make it safely.
If you’re waiting for rescuers, why would you walk past a good landmark?
