Residents living off of Maple Creek Road near Korbel will again be without easy access to the outside world as Humboldt County road workers struggle to clear a large slide from between mile marker .3 to mile marker .48. According to Humboldt County Public Works, the road will be closed until 4 p.m. today.

The slide came down on Wednesday evening and power was knocked out to multiple residents. Power was restored yesterday and the road was opened to one-way traffic late yesterday until this morning when it was closed again.

The article states, “without easy access to the outside world”. Definitely adds a little bit of time going back through butler valley, but atleast it’s an option….
