Multiple law enforcement agencies were involved in a high speed chase that began in the Ukiah area about 7:41 p.m. as a stop for a suspected DUI.

According to the MendocinoSportsPlus Facebook page, “The Ukiah Police [were] in a high-speed pursuit …of a black Kia Voyage with red paper plates.” The author of that site stated that they had reached “a top speed of 117 mph” and that the vehicle had been involved in another high speed chase but escaped law enforcement at that time.

The Mendocino Voice, our sister website, explained that during the chase “the suspect fired a handgun out the window of his car” one time. Then the suspect fled “down into the creek in back of the Willits Safeway, where he was apprehended.”

For more details, read the Voice’s story.

At least these cops didn’t shoot back at the fleeing suspect unlike EPD who shot 40 + rounds at a suspect who never actually fired at them or anyone else!!! Especiailly after being fired upon numerous times first accoprding to the article in the North Coast Journal!!!

Give me a break, he was trying to shoot them, stupid fool (for more than one reason) didn’t know he had to chamber the first round. Those cops obviously need more range time.

giggle…we all seem surprised by how fast the Kia went! More shocked over that…than the high speed chase of a possible thief! (Gotta find humor in bad situations to keep sane!)
