[UPDATE 7:33 p.m.] Eureka Police Searching for a Guy That Had a Rifle…

This afternoon shortly after 2pm Eureka Police were setting up a perimeter near W. Buhne & Union St after reports came in that a man was walking around with a rifle in his pants. The rifle was recovered by EPD. Humboldt County Sheriffs came in to assist and a K9 was requested. The subject fled on foot. At this point EPD is still looking for the man. We will update as we learn more.

UPDATE 7:33 p.m.: The shotgun, a Stoeger Coachgun with side by side barrels, had been reported stolen, according to information on the scanner.
