Juvenile With Injured Leg Being Transported to Hospital After Altercation in Fortuna
According to traffic on the scanner, at approximately 12:30 p.m. today an altercation led to one 15-year-old juvenile being transported by ambulance. There was a report of an fight between juveniles just previously in the same area.
The patient reportedly was taken to the hospital for what was reported to be a broken leg but was described by medical personnel as having a swollen ankle.

Not sure that you’re correct, but I see your point. As parents, we need to prepare our kids to function in the “real” world and I’m not sure that home schooling is the answer. I understand the need to nurture, protect and instill values, but the world often deals a crappy hand. Parents need to protect their children from stuff like this but, but at the same time, provide them tools to cope with what is, sometimes, the harsh reality of life. My best wishes to the injured kid and to his family.
I agree on that. If I was still raising kids I would do home school.
