A Jeep Laredo and Nissan Sentra collided at the intersection of 6th and N streets just before 5 p.m. today. Because of a language barrier with one of the involved parties, a translator from Humboldt Bay Fire was brought in to assist with the investigation.

A person in the front passenger seat of the Sentra was transported to St. Joseph’s hospital with unknown injuries.

Kym, have you heard anything about the now fatal traffic collision in McKinleyville last night? Involving a drunk driver hitting a teenage girl, who has now passed.
