According to Caltrans,

U.S. Highway 101 is closed approximately 10 miles north of the Del Norte County line (near Trees of Mystery) due to a downed tree that has fallen into power lines. Caltrans and fire personnel are on scene, and PG&E is en route. No ETO at this time.

The California Highway Patrol Incident page indicates that traffic may be backing up.

UPDATE 4:44 p.m.: Caltrans posted, “Normal two-way traffic has been restored!”
