Burglars Nabbed After Sound of Breaking Glass Grabs Officer’s Attention, Says APD

This is a press release from the Arcata Police Department. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

On 12/13/2016, at approximately 2:20 am, an Arcata Police Officer was patrolling near the Union Town Shopping Center (600 F Street) when he heard the sound of glass breaking.

The officer approached the area on foot and discovered a glass door panel had been broken out of one of the businesses.

As the officer approached the storefront, an individual was spotted exiting through the broken front door. The person, who was later identified as 18-year-old Silver Bonner of Hollywood CA, fled from officers.

She was taken into custody a short distance away.

While officers were detaining Bonner, a second subject, who was identified as 18-year-old Robert Abner of Puente CA, was seen exiting the business.

Abner also fled from the officers, but was eventually located and arrested some distance from the scene.

The subsequent investigation revealed Abner was responsible for two additional commercial burglaries in Arcata.

Bonner was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility for a suspected violation of California Penal Code Section 459-Burglary and 182(a)(1)- Conspiracy.

That glass was replaced yesterday. I watched it being replaced and shortly after, watched some guy loading up on cases of butane. Almost took his photograph. Shitty butane at that.

We have enough of those from the area, can they just get shipped back to their original point of origin? By shipped, I mean in a wood crate in the back of a shipping container!
