  • How many murders this yrs .?

  • hope the guy that’s dead was the robber and not the robbery victim. #Thievessuck

  • Must have some association with the huge homeless camp on the Arkly property in the dune forest?

  • Why does Arkley let a homeless camp on his property .he must not care .

    • No he does not. A few years ago there was the cross bow murder on his property. Right after that incident he made a big show at the marina building, making statements about getting rid of homeless and the programs supporting them. Last count was approx 100 living on his property in the dunes. I can only imagine how damaging their presence has been to the fragile dune forest.

      • Good thing the dunes are protected from the honest taxpayers , so the drug and unproductive people can reside on them.

      • Don, brings up good point….allowing camping on property where camping is not allowed, and in fact some areas completely off-limits such as the dunes. But it is the libtards that are responsible ultimately. People like Ariana and mogtx above who wonder why Arkley did not , does not, do something about it. Well, he tried, like stated by Ariana he held a public forum with hard decisions and not well received ideas to remove the homeless. But… nobody was willing to take the initiative, just a lot of complainers, no action. Lets not forget that years ago he was basically run out of town, people called it Arkleyville. Still cant see why a homegrown man was villianized because he wanted to make the town better. Rob Arkley is responsible directly for the re-vitalized theatre in downtown, for the boardwalk area, as well as the main reason behind the new projects and venues at the Sequoia Park Zoo. But lets not talk about those things, he must be evil, and not care about the community.

Bullshit. Liberals and the taxpayer programs sustain the homeless vagrants and the ones that want to keep those ways and continue their stealing and vandalizing, graffiti, etc.

  • I’m sorry in advance that what I’m about to say may sound crass. I think the proliferation of bad and violent behavior was obvious. We had a huge population increase from a greenrush that we not only allowed but some of us encouraged by proclaiming throughout the country that big profits could be made at minimal personal risk by coming here and running shady weed grows. Then while witnessing the obviously predicted oversaturation of markets and price drops we supported a fake legalization scheme that excludes the small and marginalized members of that shady industry. Now as the money dries up we should not be shocked that property crime goes through the roof! Think, people!! Things are about to get much worse. And it was a very obvious chain of events leading here.

  • I didn’t allow anybody here.they don’t ask,they just came like locus!!GREED brought them.lazy people.who think life is a.free ride!!!!!

  • Why is arkley not held accountable for the safety on his property? Is he safe because he’s in the good ol boys club?

Public safety first , or he could sell it to the friends of the dunes, who will keep the community safe with patrols and path construction

  • Thanks to the Public Health who campaigns for heroin addiction.
“Sugar is just as addictive as Heroin”.
“Vaping is just as addictive as Heroin!”
Kids KNOW they can go without an Oreo, without going into psychotic episodes of withdrawals. Same with no nic vape pens. If THAT’S what addiction to Heroin is like, they can handle it, they’re immortal & strong.
People need to start lawsuits against those monsters who push heroin use by fear mongering other products not even close to heroin addiction in any way whatsoever.
Public Health only cares about the financial health of Public Health.

    • Years ago I saw some anti tobacco people with the county (tupp program) spreading the message that “cigarettes are 3 times as addictive as heroin”. It seems like a bad message to send.

  • I don’t think Rob Arkley should be blamed with the problems here. He tried everything to clean this place up and has done so much for the community already.

  • Seems alot of blame casting when nothing has even been said about where this crime took place or if he was from “Arkley’s land”. We prevent private ownership of coastal property by making it next to impossible to improve or do anything with it other than donate it to a so called non profit or the state so they can make money off it.

  • This is why people are connecting the murder that occurred in the vicinity of the “Dog Ranch” to Arkley on this thread. http://www.northcoastjournal.com/NewsBlog/archives/2014/10/31/arkleys-dog-ranch-on-the-market
