Shot Fired During Robbery at Winco

Press release from the Eureka Police Department: 

EPD Eureka Police Department BlurOn November 10, 2016, at about 4:17 a.m., officers with the Eureka Police Department responded to a supermarket on the 600 block of West Harris Street for the report of a robbery with a firearm with one shot having been fired by the suspect.

It was reported that the suspect had entered the store brandishing a firearm and demanded money from a cashier. The suspect then fired one round into the floor before taking the cash drawer and fleeing on foot.

Officers searched the vicinity and located the cash drawer near Spring and Russ Streets. An Arcata Police K9 unit responded and attempted to track the suspect from the cash drawer, but was unsuccessful. The suspect remains at large.

The suspect was described as a white male in his 20’s, 6’ 4”, thin build, wearing a gray and white hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and a mask. This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Eureka Police Department at (707) 441-4044.

I wonder if this is the same guy robbing all the gas station if it is he must have a good stash buy now .he will be robbing for along time .I would put a unit. Or 2 to a random gas stations to see if they can get lucky .if the bandit picks the station they the cops are watching in a unmarked cop car ,but out cops are to stupid.

I use to shop at Winco early in the morning for years and years. But shopping there at 6am isnt safe anymore, lots of strange people hanging out in the parking lot, and roaming the store, hope they find this guy
