Three Empty Bottles of Smirnoff Vodka and a Titanic Mistake

Today, around 4 p.m. a two-wheel drive Ford Ranger met an ugly fate on the Samoa Beach. According to Steve Young who took these photos and video, when he arrived at the beach around 3:50 p.m., he could see the truck stuck in the sand with waves slapping the tires.Ford ranger in the ocean He and several others who were in the area went over to it and discovered that there were three empty bottles of Smirnoff Vodka in the back which may or may not have contributed to the vehicle being in that predicament.

Later, someone else noted that the battery had been removed.Ford ranger in the oceanHe and others attempted to call the Coast Guard, the Arcata Police Department, and the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office for assistance. However, the incoming tide soon swallowed up the truck, Ford ranger in the ocean rolled it over, and chewed on it for a bit. Ford ranger in the oceanYoung said that he talked to a marine biologist at the beach who told him the truck had been stuck in the sand since the day before.Ford ranger in the ocean

When Young left before 5 p.m., there had been no official response.

Mistake?
Or completely understandable decision after the driver took one too many good, hard looks at the top of the ballot?

Probably stolen. If the owner was trying to be able to recover it later, he forgot about all the water that will be in the fluids…oil, tranny, etc..

I thought it looked like a person with a camera! I think it is misc. stuff inside the cab that stacked up when the truck was on it’s side.

Liberals trying to take a short cut to British Columbia?

They always threaten the move to Canada, maybe it’s time to build a ferry landing and make America great again….

We should dump our trash in Canada, why not?

Not sure a few quarts of oil and a couple of gallons of gas really “pollute” the ocean. The battery was removed, probably by tweeker thieves, so if that was the case, there was no gas to pollute. How do you get around town ?
