Important City of Fortuna Meetings Next Week

The City of Fortuna will be holding their regular Council meeting, this coming Monday, November 7th, beginning at 6 PM, in the Fortuna City Council Chambers.  Items on the business agenda include:

1. Appointment to Fill the Current City Council Vacancy
2. Seating of New City Councilmember
3. Oath of Office Administered by the City Clerk
4. Seating of New City Councilmember
5. Public Hearing: Receive Public Comment Concerning Any Unmet Transit Needs
6. Update on 2015 Safe Routes to School Improvement Project

On Tuesday, November 8th, beginning at 7 PM, the Planning Commission will be holding their regular meeting at the River Lodge Conference Center.  Items on the business agenda include:

1. Design Review of the Remodel of a Downtown Commercial Building, Including New Windows, Siding, and Colors.
2. Consideration of a Conditional Use Permit to build a detached garage 19 feet in height which exceeds the zoning code standard of 15 feet in height.
3. Consideration of a Minor Subdivision of a 15,523 square foot parcel into two parcels, 11,021 square feet and 4,502 square feet in size.
