Waiting 45 minutes for a pharmacist to plop a dozen antibiotics in a plastic bottle and hand it over the counter makes me a little cranky. I guess I might pick up a hammer if I was addicted to oxy under the same circumstances

A forty-year-old woman with no makeup and not under the best of circumstances. The fact that she attacked someone with a hammer is the problem, not her femininity. Have you never seen a real female–especially in the country– or only airbrushed or makeup-painted versions?

Um yes I live in the country, have my whole life the look has nothing to do with make up its called drugs, women are beautiful without make up, most I know don’t ware it and look nothing like this, way to stick up for a attempted murdering drug addict who tried to rob a pharmacy tho, and try to make me look sexist k.m.a

Telling you your comment is off the mark and sexist has nothing to do with defending an attempted murdering drug addict… if indeed you know that about her. It’s just a way of telling you that your judgment of whether she’s womanly enough for you has nothing to do with the case. So FOAD.

Ya, the acronym is a term that the jaded femimisandrysts use when offended that the brethren (or sisterins) are unidentifiable at first glance……and you did not even go there, but you are right to weigh in on looks…..at first glance, HOJ thought it was a dude, but quickly was open to the notion that the dudette may be glbtq, which suggests criminals are all makes and models and LEOS are practicing equal application of arrest.

Ya, that Laura Cooskey believes in feminism issues about a comment that implied difficulty in ascertaining the alleged perp as being a woman.

HOJ noticed no Adams Apple after a closer look because of not being so sure.

As many pictures of all makes and models are being profiled on blogs, HOJ has not once read Cooskey defending masculinity, but maybe she believes too that men never have masculinity issues……who knows with people who live lives of double standards…..

HOJ does wonder if a blog host receives (has directed at) the FOAD statement, would that statement be censored, edited or allowed?

Sure, Kym, you’re welcome; and thank you for tolerating a mysterious acronym such as FOAD… it was only a sort of joke answering KMA. What the heck, i might have told Guest to TAFFATM, but i’ll stop before i get carried away! Ha! Good night.

Had it been a gun this “woman” would have been a murderer. I’m not anti-gun but I am anti-gun for nuts like this. Hard to defend yourself against a nut with a gun but not hard against a nut with a hammer.

Maybe if you have a gun, otherwise with out the help of bystanders, it probably would have ended differently

Now, any word of updates yet by All blogs reporting on the “so called ” hotel rape last month alleged by a so called lady victim in a she said versus he said did not matter scenario?

Does anyone know where to find the info on my rights as a bystander in a situation like this?

When detaining someone like this, how far is the citizen allowed to go?

Detain at all costs or what? What are my rights/restrictions as a citizen in this case?

Excellent question Chris. I got an education looking this up. If I saw someone getting hacked up by a machete wielding nut, I’d probably say, well, sucks to be you. A hammer wielding nut? I might help out if I had some backup. In any case, the threat of civil litigation and me footing the bill would make me think three times before announcing a citizens arrest. I want to be a hero as much as the next guy but the possibility of having to hand over a bucket of cash to a lawyer really cools my jets. In the end, I think the best case may be exactly what happened here. Use reasonable means to prevent further mayhem but only as absolutely necessary and don’t say citizens arrest. http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Citizen%27s-Arrest-in-California

Both,I feared for my life as well as the other merchants standing in line when said drunk pulled out a knife from behind us and told the clerk he was being robbed, we could all smell the alcohol and see he was drunk, I clocked him over the head with a bottle of wine and herm called the cops, pretty sure the cops didn’t “protect” me….

As long as you feared for your life and protected others, then OK…..your initial bravado did not make your intentions clear…….

That’s actually kinda complicated. technically a bystander in order to protect someone they see being hurt,is allowed to use “reasonable” Force to neutralize the situation. “Reasonable” force is up for interpretation by the police the judge and or the jury. However, in California we are a retreat state, so technically you’re supposed to try to retreat before using physical or deadly force to defend yourself. Now if we were living in Texas or Florida and you saw someone beating somebody else with a hammer, you could walk up behind them and shoot them in the back of the head and more than likely be justified, they are a stand your ground state. That’s how I understand it anyways, but I’m by no means a lawyer.

Retreat State = Police State

Politicians and POPO need lots of work and reasons for their own jobs they should never even have……it is called creating business artificially when implementing a system of controlled dependencies.

Kinda why collusion amongst groups and types of people in society occur.

A good example: local media and the protections and schmoozing they conspire together with in order to protect their network of misinformation and manipulated news……if one media source can’t control an outside influence, that source colludes with another source to allow intervention but no responsive action by the outside influence……

She used to be a beautiful person. I went to high school with her in Redding and we were very close. I’m sad to see the comments on this thread. Don’t you realize she has family and friends who feel horrible for her? She used to get psychiatric care, but she either left, or the care stopped for some reason.
