Do you See That Huge Column of Smoke Near Grasshopper Lookout?

Smoke seen near Grasshopper Mountain from the Salmon Creek area. [Photo by Kym Kemp]

A large column of smoke is rising from the Grasshopper Lookout area. According to the Salmon Creek Fire Chief Matt Stark, there is a controlled burn in the area. The column is large and dramatic but the smoke should start dying down now as the fire crews are no longer lighting areas on fire.
