I sincerely hope you all get wherever you are going without hurting yourselves or anyone else. Positive thoughts go out to the injured person.

Drive safely in Redway, please!

I had driven by there a few minutes before the accident occurred and the sun was blinding. I suspect that might of contributed to the accident.

Perhaps. But you have to slow down in accordance with ambient conditions. Too many people get behind the wheel and just refuse to slow down for bad lighting, pedestrians, other cars, etc. if the sun is blinding you, get a hat or use the visor and SLOW DOWN.

Doesn’t say whether the driver stayed or took off. Lot’s of pedestrians roaming around about this time of year. Hope the victim has a speedy recovery.

100 to 1 odds says the “victim” had dreads and a backpack. There is a new scummer tactic. Hitch hikers jumping way out in the road in the hopes of not having to walk between Redway n Garb. Time to close the Garberville Greyhound stop. I suggest Sep 11 thru Nov 11 no buses. Seriously, go to the Garb bus stop around 9pm and watch the filth roll in.

I don’t know if that’s the case here, but Wednesday in Garberville three guys, obviously trimmigrants, jumped in front of my car as I was leaving the Napa Auto parking lot and demanded a ride to Redway. They did back off when I gestured I was going the other direction, but it was a dumb stunt that assumed I had good brakes and a good reaction time. Be careful out there.

Well! At least in the second photo the person taking the photos (you presume it’s the driver) is behind a STOP sign. Reasonable to think he/she was not driving. (ED, I advise you to not comment and to get the advice of an attorney forthwith!! ;-).

Times have changed, the only excitement in Redway, back in the day, was either at the Brass Rail or at somebody’s poolside/patio party.
